Humanitarian Award
The NASCAR Foundation recently launched the Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award, which is designed to celebrate volunteers that make an impact in the lives of children. If you are aware of or would like to share this opportunity with your fan clubs, The NASCAR Foundation would greatly appreciate the support.
The winner of the award will receive $100,000 from The NASCAR Foundation to designate to his/her children’s charity of choice.
The award is open to individuals aged 16 years or older. Applicants must be a NASCAR fan and have made a significant impact on the lives of children through volunteerism or charitable work during the last five years. For this, “volunteerism” is defined as voluntary action in service to others and the community. Individuals who receive compensation to perform charitable work – volunteering, fundraising, etc. – are ineligible for the award.
We encourage you to nominate a volunteer with an inspiring story and one that demonstrates a local champion for children. An application is attached for completion and submission. Once completed, you may email the application to bjfaward@nascarfoundation.com no later than July 18.
